Whether it be family groups, adults, pregnancy or babies/toddlers through to teenagers, the aim of the photography session is to achieve an enjoyable, relaxed and informal experience, which can also apply to the family pooch or to your feline friend.
I have a home based studio here in Grafham and photo shoots are organised by prior arrangement and appointment. Equally, and if preferred, portable equipment allows for the photography to come to you for that personalised photo shoot in your home and garden or to any location for that special event.
Pricing is upfront and open, so please look at the portrait pricing page to give you an idea of the cost of prints and wall/framed products, which are printed and framed by one of the UK's prominent printing companies. If you have a particular wall product in mind which is not listed, then please ask for its availability and cost.
How long does it take for a portrait photography shoot?
As a general guide, approximately 30-60 minutes is the norm, however, I do not overload bookings and if a session needs to take longer then this is facilitated.
Can you edit/retouch the images?
Yes, if required the majority of minor skin blemishes (eg spots, scratches, very small area of dry skin) can be removed without problem, albeit any birthmark will not be removed unless a request has been made to do so. Photography effects can include a change of colour to black and white or sepia, vignetting or spot colour etc.
What clothing should I wear?
You should feel comfortable in whatever you wear, the choice being dependent on the style of photograph that you would like eg contemporary or more formal. Avoid bold patterns or clothing with large logos, as the eye will always be drawn to these when looking at the photograph. For the more contemporary family shot or photographs of children, casual trousers/jeans with a white/black or plain coloured t-shirt generally work well, although avoid those colours that obviously clash. Feel free to have changes of clothing or to bring items that are meaningful to you, eg child's soft toy, piece of jewellery, musical instrument, special hat etc. Please be aware that retouching of the images does not apply to clothing unless a specific request has been made which may require an additional fee.
How do I choose the images?
You will be invited to a personal viewing of your images within 7 days of them being taken. On request, you will be able to see variousexamples of prints, collages, frames and wall products that are available, which can accommodate most peoples' tastes and budgets. Once products are ordered, they can take up to 28 days to be ready for collection (usually much quicker).
Can relatives view the photographs?
Yes, after the viewing and your requirements have been decided, your photographs (low resolution) on request can be placed on the relevant client area viewing page on this website for relatives to view.
